THEY LOVE ME IN THE BAY

I grew up in the Bay Area, and it has always been part of the way I see design, sports, music and culture.

“They Love Me in the Bay” started as a piece of hand-drawn typography inspired by the visual language I grew up around. The sports graphics, neighborhood signs, old T-shirts, music and the character of Oakland.

But the idea is bigger than being from the Bay.

It’s for anyone who leaves home and carries the Bay with them. You can be in New York, London, Tokyo or anywhere in the world and still feel that connection when someone recognizes where you’re from.

You leave the Bay. The love travels with you.

The artwork became the foundation for a collection of tees, hoodies and pieces that feel familiar but personal.
