SPRING 2018 - NIKE Basketball
Concept & Design
Paper Collage and ink.
Working with Kyrie on his apparel and graphics , he wanted to make sure that we evoked his personal mantra of the time, “Fear is Not Real”. I thought that by taking images and cutting them up and laying over hand drawn text it would create amazing content that could be applied to t-shirts apparel and marketing materials. The beautiful chaos that is Kyrie Irving.
This camouflage pattern was inspired by the Michael Jordan posters that covered my walls as a child. Used on t-shirts, jackets, bags, pillows and more.
Inspired by one of the most famous images of The Notorious B.I.G. AKA Biggie Smalls, this print in inspired by the Coogi sweater worn by the late great rapper. Biggie was important to not only the culture but the UNDRCRWN brand. The lyric: “You’re either slangin’ crack rock our you got a wicked jump shot.” is a embedded in the DNA of the brand.
Used on a jersey, short, jacket & various accessories and home goods.
This pattern was the first of it’s kind. Later adopted by Nike for the Brooklyn Nets Biggie jersey.
UNDRCRWN - 2010
A print that was used to further define UNDRCRWN as the “Brand For Champions”. The pattern is created by combining varsity style lettering with classic icons that represent winning (cigar, trophies, foam fingers, Gatorade buckets, etc.)
