The creation of "The Town" logo for the Golden State Warriors was a deeply personal and culturally resonant project for designer Dustin Canalin. He meticulously crafted the logo to feature a stylized depiction of the iconic oak tree, symbolizing strength, resilience, and deep roots in the community. Designed for Nike Basketball, the 76ers City Edition uniform was inspired by Philadelphia’s fighting spirit and the world of Rocky and Creed. The gray uniform references Rocky’s iconic training sweatsuit, with details pulled from the boxing ring and championship belt.

Oakland Ballers Honor Black Panthers with Special Uniform.
In a tribute to Oakland’s legacy of social justice, the Oakland Ballers have teamed up with designer Dustin Canalin to create a special uniform honoring the Black Panther Party. "I was deeply honored to celebrate the proud legacy of those who fight for social justice in Oakland," said Canalin.
The uniform, worn during a recent game, pays homage to the Black Panther Party’s symbols of resistance, blending them with elements reflecting Oakland’s vibrant spirit. The jerseys are being auctioned off to benefit the Black Panther Party Alumni Legacy Network, with bidding open until August 7th.
Designed for Nike Basketball and the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets inaugural City Edition uniform was inspired by the Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge’s iconic steel cables became a graphic pattern across the uniform, while the architecture and negative space of the bridge towers informed the shape and structure of the design.

The flag’s light blue, red and four six-pointed stars were integrated into the uniform, paired with the Bulls’ classic Chicago script to connect the identity of the team directly to the city.

Designed for Nike Basketball and the NBA, the Minnesota Timberwolves inaugural City Edition uniform was inspired by the Grey Wolf and the harsh Minnesota winter. The tonal gray references the wolf’s winter coat, while the graphic pattern draws from its guard hair, creating a uniform built around camouflage, protection and the mentality of an apex predator.

The parchment color references the original document, while the handwritten Phila script was designed to feel like a signature. Details throughout the uniform draw from 1776 and the city’s role in the founding of America.

WNBA uniform design was inspired by “The Greek goddess of victory known as “Nike“.
For the inaugural season we wanted to make sure that the uniforms were impactful through simple design language and color.
